• Open the app and choose a walk from the list or from the map.
• Tap the walk to view its details.
• Tap “Start” to begin the walk.
• Follow the route and listen to the audio at each stop.

Points of interest (POIs) are marked locations along a walk.

They can, among other things:

• contain audio segments
• display images and/or explanatory text
• provide background information, stories, or historical details

When you get close to a POI during a walk, you can play the corresponding audio in the app – depending on your settings, the app can also notify you at the right moment.

If an audio guide doesn’t start or doesn’t play automatically, please check the following:

• Is Location Services enabled for LOCOVOX?
• In your system settings you need to allow the app to access your location (e.g. “While Using the App”).
• Is the volume on your device turned up high enough?
• Do you have a stable internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data) if the content hasn’t been cached yet?

Regardless of any automatic playback, you can always start audio segments manually in the app.

If content isn’t loading properly, you can try the following:

1. Check your internet connection
• Is your mobile data or Wi‑Fi connection working?
2. Restart the app
• Completely close LOCOVOX and open it again.
3. Reload the walk
• Close the affected walk and open it again or select it again.
4. Check system settings
• Is LOCOVOX allowed to use mobile data?

Some content can be cached locally, but LOCOVOX is currently designed primarily for use with an internet connection.

For the best experience, we recommend having a stable data connection before and during your walk. Extended offline use will be rolled out step by step.

You can easily put together your ideal walk via “Create your own walk”. At first, only you can see the walk, but you can optionally share it with the community later on. When you create a walk for the community, you can write the narrated texts exactly the way you want. Loco helps you with the wording.

In the app you can find walks in the following ways, for example:

• Via the map, by zooming into the area you’re interested in
• Via list views that show walks for a specific place
• Via search or filters to sort by places, themes, or categories

Over time, more filter and sorting options will be added.
