Cangas de Onís Bridge
Description
The Cangas de Onís Bridge, also known as "El Puentón," is a medieval structure dating back to the 13th century. Spanning the Sella River, it stands as a symbol of the region. The bridge features three arches, with the middle one raised higher than the others, and displays a replica of the Victory Cross, an emblem of Asturias. It connects the towns of Cangas de Onís and Parres and serves as a popular starting point for hikes in the Picos de Europa National Park.
