Description
The Church of St. Peter in Mestas de Con is a Romanesque place of worship dating back to the 12th century, featuring a single nave and a square-shaped chancel. Notable highlights include the Romanesque portals on the west and south sides, as well as the triumphal arch supported by attached columns. Inside, visitors can admire Baroque frescoes from the 18th century, which are among the few examples predating the 19th century in the rural architecture of Asturias.
